Privacy
In short: Unlupa collects nothing. Everything stays on your phone.
What Unlupa stores
Which apps and websites you pick, your moments, your code, your stats and your achievements. That lives only on your own phone. There is no account and no server. Delete the app and it is gone.
What Unlupa doesn't do
Unlupa sends no data, uses no analytics, shows no ads and shares nothing with anyone.
On Android
Unlupa uses the Usage access and Display over other apps permissions to see which app is open and to show the Unlupa screen. For websites, and only if you turn it on, Unlupa uses Android's accessibility service. It only reads your browser's address bar, and only while Unlupa is on. Page content, passwords and what you type are never read or stored.
If you turn on strict mode for home, Unlupa stores the home location you set yourself on your phone. When you scan your code or an app is closed, Unlupa briefly checks whether you are there. Your location goes nowhere and is never used in the background.
On iPhone
Unlupa uses Apple's Screen Time. Apple doesn't let Unlupa see which apps you pick or what you do in them; Unlupa can only close them.
Purchases
The purchase goes through Google Play or the App Store. Unlupa only learns whether you bought Unlupa.
On Android, Unlupa also keeps the start date of your free week in Google's secure storage on your phone (Block Store, part of your Google backup). That way the free week doesn't start again if you delete Unlupa and install it again. Only that date is stored, and we never see it. On iPhone, Apple handles the free week through your Apple ID.
This website
This website uses no cookies and doesn't follow you. We only count anonymously how many visitors come and which pages they view, with Cloudflare Web Analytics. That says nothing about who you are. Code links (unlupa.nl/c/...) are only shown in your own browser and are not counted.
